The ability to be cited by AI engines such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot when users ask questions in your market. It is the AI equivalent of classic findability, but it works fundamentally differently: AI engines generate answers based on structured data and authority signals, not page rankings. Xcited makes that visibility measurable and improves it through a technical layer beneath your website.
A citation means an AI engine explicitly mentions your brand, product or content, or uses it as a source in an answer to a user. It is the new equivalent of a top position in Google: if you are cited, you exist in the answer — if you are not mentioned, you are invisible. Xcited measures how often your brand is cited in real AI conversations across five engines.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) optimizes for classic search results and rankings. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) focuses on direct answers, such as featured snippets. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) ensures generative AI engines understand, cite and recommend your brand. The three are not mutually exclusive: GEO builds on a healthy SEO foundation. Xcited provides the technical GEO layer without disrupting your existing SEO.
GEO is the set of techniques that increases the likelihood that generative AI engines find, understand and cite your brand correctly. Think structured data, machine-readable files such as llms.txt, a knowledge graph and consistent brand information. Xcited automates this technical side through a single DNS activation and makes the effect measurable in a dashboard.
Share of Voice is the share of AI answers in your market that mention your brand, measured against your competitors. If you are cited in 3 out of 10 relevant answers and your biggest competitor in 6, you are losing ground on a channel that delivers conversions. Xcited measures your Share of Voice periodically and benchmarks it against the competitors you select.
A knowledge graph is a structured representation of all the information about your company — services, clients, expertise, locations, FAQs — including the relationships between them. AI engines read connections from it that they would never find in separate web pages, and as a result give better, more complete answers about you. Xcited builds and maintains that knowledge graph as the core of its approach.
llms.txt is a machine-readable file that tells AI engines which information on your site is relevant and how it is structured — comparable to what robots.txt does for crawlers. Creating and maintaining it manually is error-prone. Xcited generates and maintains llms.txt automatically, along with ai.json, schema.json and a sitemap, as soon as you complete the DNS activation.
Structured data is code that makes the meaning of your content explicit: this is a product, this is a price, this is an organization. AI engines use that structure to extract facts reliably instead of guessing based on running text. Xcited automatically publishes a machine-readable schema layer under your domain, without you having to change your website.
Zero-click search means a user gets their answer directly in the search or AI interface and no longer clicks through to a website. In 2026, more than 60% of all searches did not result in a click. Traffic does not disappear — it shifts into the answer itself. That is why what counts is not just your ranking, but above all whether you are mentioned in that answer. That is exactly what xcited measures and improves.
No. AI visibility is about being cited organically in AI answers because the engine understands and trusts your information — not about paid placement. You do not buy a position; you earn it through structure, authority and consistent information. Xcited works exclusively on that organic side: infrastructure, knowledge graph and measurement.
An AI agent is software that performs tasks on behalf of a user: finding information, comparing options, making recommendations. Increasingly, an agent does the preparatory research before a purchase decision. If your company information is unreadable or unfindable for those agents, you do not make the shortlist. Xcited ensures agents can easily find and correctly interpret your information.
No. Classic SEO remains the foundation: technical health, good content and authority also feed AI engines. But SEO alone is no longer enough, because AI engines retrieve and present information differently than classic search engines. Think of it as an extra layer on top of SEO. Xcited does not touch your existing SEO — everything runs on a separate subdomain alongside your site.
AI Overviews are the AI-generated answers Google shows at the top of its results page, powered by Gemini. They reinforce the zero-click trend: users get the answer before the classic results. The same principles apply as with other AI engines: structured, consistent and machine-readable information increases your chances of serving as a source. Through xcited's Gemini measurements you track your position in this ecosystem.
AI search traffic has grown tenfold over the past 12 months (SimilarWeb) and converts up to 216% better than traditional organic traffic, because users arrive with a concrete question and receive a filtered answer. Gartner expects a large share of classic search volume to shift to AI interfaces. Those who build position now gain a head start that is hard to catch up on later.
Because the selection has already happened. A user who reaches your site through an AI recommendation has asked their question, compared options and received your brand as the answer. Cross-industry research from 2025 shows up to 216% higher conversion versus traditional organic traffic. Less volume, more intent. That is why every missed citation is a missed, highly qualified lead.
Partly, but Google itself is shifting: AI Overviews answer questions directly on the results page. On top of that, a growing share of users asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Copilot directly which supplier to choose — especially in B2B orientation phases. The question is not whether your customers use AI, but whether you are visible when they do. Xcited makes that measurable, so you don't have to guess.
Especially for B2B. Buying journeys start with anonymous research, and that research is shifting to AI assistants. Anyone who asks ChatGPT or Copilot for a shortlist of suppliers, advisors or software gets three to five names. If you are not among them, you do not exist in that deal flow. Xcited is built specifically for B2B brands and knowledge-driven organizations that compete on expertise.
To both — and smaller players actually have an opportunity. AI engines cite based on structure, relevance and consistency, not media budget. A well-structured specialist can beat a large generic brand in AI answers within its niche. Xcited makes that technical structure accessible without a developer or migration, starting at an entry price that works for smaller organizations too.
AI engines build their picture of markets gradually. Competitors who provide structured, consistent information earlier get cited more often and strengthen their authority as a result — a self-reinforcing effect. Entering later means catching up instead of building. An initial measurement through xcited shows you where you stand today, so you make an informed decision rather than a wait-and-see one.
The behavior underneath it is structural: people want answers, not ten blue links. Every major player — Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity — is investing heavily in answer-driven search, and traffic grew tenfold in a year. The interfaces will evolve, but the shift from rankings to citations is here to stay. Xcited is built on open standards, so your investment moves along with that evolution.
The orientation phase shifts from ten open tabs to a single conversation. Users ask a question, refine it, and receive a substantiated shortlist. Brands are therefore filtered earlier, based on what the AI knows about them. That makes the quality and structure of your brand information decisive before a website visit ever takes place. Xcited ensures that information is accurate and findable.
Sectors where customers compare and seek advice before they buy: professional services, software, HR, finance, legal, healthcare, education, industry with complex products. Anywhere an AI assistant is asked to list options, players or approaches. Xcited focuses on B2B brands and knowledge-driven organizations, from 10+ FTE to enterprise, and on the agencies that serve them.
AI search traffic often arrives as direct or referral traffic from domains such as chatgpt.com or perplexity.ai, and is hard to isolate in classic analytics. Moreover, you miss all the cases where you are mentioned without a click. That is why xcited measures at the source: how often your brand is cited in AI conversations themselves, not just what happens to click through.
AI engines combine their trained knowledge with sources retrieved live. They prioritize information that is structured, consistent and verifiable: clear entities, facts that match across multiple sources, and machine-readable data. Vague or contradictory information gets dropped. Xcited ensures your brand information is in exactly the form engines can process reliably.
Training data is what a model learned up to its cutoff date; retrieval (RAG) is what the engine fetches live when answering a question. For current questions — prices, offerings, comparisons — engines rely heavily on retrieval. That is good news: you don't have to wait for a new model version. Machine-readable information published by xcited is immediately available for retrieval.
Similar, but with their own bots (such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot) and different priorities. They mainly look for understandable, structured information and machine-readable files. A site built only for human visitors is often hard for these bots to interpret. Xcited publishes a layer under your domain that delivers exactly what these bots need: ai.json, llms.txt, schema.json and an up-to-date sitemap.
Usually not because your competitor is better, but because their information is easier to process: consistent descriptions, structured data, clear expertise signals. AI engines cite what they understand and trust. The first step is to objectively measure how you and your competitors score per engine — exactly what the xcited dashboard shows, including the areas for improvement.
Each engine has its own training data, its own retrieval sources and its own balance between the two. ChatGPT may know you from training while Perplexity consults the web live. That is why measuring across multiple engines is essential: you can be strong in one and invisible in another. Xcited measures your visibility across five engines separately, so you know where you stand per engine.
Firing off prompts yourself gives a distorted picture: answers vary by phrasing, session, location and user history. A reliable picture requires systematic observation across many real conversations. That is why xcited does not measure through fired prompts, but by observing real AI conversations through its own measurement network — a structural picture instead of a snapshot.
It simply gets repeated in answers, sometimes for years — old addresses, discontinued services, outdated prices. AI engines only correct themselves when a stronger, more consistent source becomes available. An up-to-date knowledge graph under your own domain is exactly such a source. Xcited keeps it continuously updated, so engines can always access the correct facts.
An entity is an unambiguously recognizable 'thing': your company, a service, a location, a person. AI engines reason in entities and relationships, not in separate pages. If your company is not a clearly defined entity — with a consistent name, description and connections — an engine may confuse you with someone else or simply skip you. The xcited knowledge graph defines your entities explicitly, along with the relationships between them.
It varies. Many AI bots render JavaScript partially or not at all, leaving content in single-page applications partly invisible. You can rebuild your site — or provide the essential information in a parallel machine-readable form. Xcited takes the second path: a separate, always-readable layer under your domain, so your stack (Next.js, Nuxt, custom) is no longer a limitation.
Being mentioned means being included in an answer; being recommended means the engine actively puts you forward as the best option for the question. Recommendations require stronger signals: demonstrable expertise, consistent specialization and verifiable facts. Xcited works on both levels — being findable and understandable is the foundation, and the knowledge graph captures the expertise signals that feed recommendations.
Yes. Engines factor in external confirmation: reviews, mentions, trade publications, registers. But the foundation remains what you publish yourself — if your own information is unstructured or inconsistent, external signals won't help much. So work from the inside out: first get your own foundation in order with xcited, then build external authority through your content and PR strategy.
Three tracks. One: make your information machine-readable through structured data and files such as llms.txt. Two: ensure consistent, factual brand information — the same name, services and expertise everywhere. Three: measure what works and adjust. Xcited automates track one, structures track two through the knowledge graph, and delivers track three as a dashboard.
No. Good content for people remains the foundation; the problem usually sits in the layer beneath it: AI engines cannot reliably extract the facts from your content. Xcited does not write or rewrite content — it adds a technical layer that makes your existing content understandable for AI agents, regardless of who writes or manages the content.
Yes, provided they are well structured. FAQs match seamlessly with how users query AI engines: in question form. An FAQ that only exists as formatted text is a half measure for engines — the question-answer structure needs to be machine-readable too. In the xcited knowledge graph, FAQs are one of the building blocks, alongside services, clients, areas of expertise and locations.
Both, in sequence. Without substance there is nothing to cite; without technical structure your substance is not found or is misunderstood. Most companies have the first reasonably in order and the second not at all. That is why xcited deliberately positions itself as the technical foundation beneath any content strategy — it strengthens what you already have instead of replacing it.
Volume is not the problem — processability is. Lots of content without structure is, to an AI engine, a mountain of text without clear facts, entities or relationships. The engine cannot distill a reliable answer from it and instead cites a source that does provide one. An xcited measurement shows where you stand today; the knowledge graph makes your existing content processable after all.
Yes. AI engines answer questions in the user's language, so you want to be understood correctly in every market language. Xcited is multilingual, multi-domain and multi-locale: if it is a domain, it works on it.
By recording your expertise explicitly and consistently: which domains, for which client types, with what supporting evidence. AI engines link expertise to entities — so that link needs to exist somewhere in machine-readable form. In the xcited knowledge graph, areas of expertise are a separate building block, connected to your services, cases and locations, so engines can make the connection.
Quite a lot: ensure consistent company information across all your channels, answer the questions customers actually ask on your site, keep facts up to date, and avoid contradictions between your website, LinkedIn and registers. That is the manual work. What is hard to do yourself: building the machine-readable layer, keeping it current and measuring the effect. That is what xcited is for.
Engines with live retrieval, such as Perplexity and Copilot, can incorporate updated machine-readable information quickly — sometimes within days. Knowledge in trained models refreshes more slowly. That is why an always-current, machine-readable source under your own domain pays off: it is immediately available the moment an engine comes looking live. Xcited keeps that layer continuously updated.
That is a strategic choice. If you block AI bots, you protect your content but disappear from AI answers — and thus from a growing part of the orientation phase. For most B2B brands, visibility outweighs shielding. Xcited automatically configures robots.txt and the sitemap correctly on its own layer, so the right bots find the right information.
External, authoritative sources strengthen your entity — engines use them to confirm facts. But they are a supplement, not a foundation: you have no control over them and they go stale. The foundation is an up-to-date, machine-readable source under your own domain. Xcited provides that foundation; you build external authority on top of it through your communication strategy.
SEO tools analyze and report — you or your agency implement the recommendations on your site. Xcited is a dashboard and optimization tool in one: the DNS activation itself puts the technical AI layer in place (infrastructure and knowledge graph) and the measurement network shows the effect in real AI conversations. Not an action list that gathers dust, but a layer that is up and running immediately.
Not by firing off prompts itself — that gives a distorted snapshot — but through its own measurement network that counts how often your brand is cited in real, ongoing AI conversations. This happens across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot. You see the result in a dashboard: how often you are mentioned and how you score against your competitors.
The five biggest: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot. Together they cover the vast majority of AI search behavior in Europe. You see how you score per engine, because visibility differs strongly per platform — being strong in Perplexity says nothing about ChatGPT.
Yes, that is a core feature. You select the competitors you want to track (the number depends on your licence) and the dashboard shows how your visibility compares per AI engine. That way you see not only your own score, but also where you are winning or losing market share in AI answers.
That depends on your licence: from monthly to weekly, with the option to add extra measurements via credits. Licence details will be announced on 1 August 2026. Every measurement covers all five AI engines. For most brands, monthly to biweekly is enough to track trends and the effects of adjustments.
Because answers vary by phrasing, session, memory, location and even time of day. Two users get different answers to the same question. A single test therefore says almost nothing about your structural visibility. Xcited observes real AI conversations at scale, giving you a statistically reliable picture instead of an anecdote.
Your visibility measurements across the five AI engines: how often your brand is cited, how that evolves over time, and how you score against the competitors you monitor. Depending on your licence, a premium dashboard with competitor benchmarks and multi-brand and multi-locale views are added. That way AI visibility becomes a KPI you can manage.
The technical layer is up within minutes of the DNS activation and is immediately available to AI engines with live retrieval. Measurements then show how your visibility evolves — expect first movements within weeks, structural improvement over months. AI visibility is a compounding effect: every measurement makes the trend clearer and shows where adjusting pays off.
Yes, depending on your licence there is read-only API access for data export, so you can include visibility measurements in your own BI environment or marketing reports. Custom integrations with CRM or BI tools are also possible. That way AI visibility becomes a KPI alongside your existing marketing metrics.
There is no absolute norm — what matters is your relative position in your market and the trend over time. If you are cited more often than your three main competitors for questions in your domain, you are in a strong position. That is why xcited always benchmarks you against competitors you choose yourself and shows the evolution per engine, rather than an isolated number.
Yes. Every engagement starts with a scan that shows how you score today, why, and what can be improved. That baseline makes the conversation concrete: you see your current visibility per AI engine and your position against competitors before you activate anything. Ask for it via the contact form or book a 30-minute introductory call.
Yes. Depending on your licence, multiple users work on the same license. Marketing follows the trend, management sees the benchmark against competitors, and your content team or agency uses the insights to adjust course. That way AI visibility becomes a shared KPI instead of a report sitting in an inbox.
Xcited makes your brand more findable, understandable and citable for AI engines, in three layers. Activate: two DNS records put the technical infrastructure live. Structure: a knowledge graph gives AI agents structure and context about your services, clients, areas of expertise, locations and FAQs. Monitor: a dashboard measures how often you are cited across five AI engines. A dashboard and optimization tool in one.
Xcited does not write articles, does not publish content, does not deliver monthly content production and does not replace your content team or agency. Nor is it a WordPress plugin or CMS-dependent tool. Xcited is the technical foundation that makes content — whoever creates it — truly come alive for AI agents. Excellent agencies exist for content; xcited strengthens them.
Add two DNS records with your domain provider — a CNAME record and a sitemap reference. It takes about five minutes and requires no developer, no migration and no changes to your website. After that, xcited handles the rest automatically: HTTPS certificates, ai.json, llms.txt, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, schema.json and the link to your knowledge graph. Prefer to have it done for you? That is possible too.
The knowledge graph structures the information about your company — services, clients, areas of expertise, locations, FAQs — with the relationships between them, as one readable structure for AI. The layer is activated once via DNS and then kept continuously updated, so AI engines can always access current facts. Onboarding differs per licence: from self-service with a setup call to fully guided structured onboarding.
No, nothing. Everything runs on a separate subdomain (aztrix.yourdomain.be) alongside your existing site. Your design, content, CMS and hosting remain untouched — what runs under your domain keeps running under your domain. Visitors notice nothing; only AI agents see the extra layer. That also means there is no risk to your existing SEO.
The underlying knowledge graph technology is protected by EU patent EP 3189463 and is delivered through technology partner Aztrix. Xcited combines that infrastructure with its own measurement network that counts citations in real AI conversations across five engines. Made in Belgium, with GDPR and EU data residency as standard.
Yes. Xcited works via DNS, not via a plugin, which makes it platform-agnostic: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Drupal, Wix, Magento, HubSpot CMS, Squarespace, Sitecore, Next.js, Nuxt, Astro or fully custom. No migration, no developer, no rebuild. Also multilingual, multi-domain and multi-locale: if it is a domain, xcited works on it.
Nothing — and that is deliberate. Xcited runs on a separate subdomain and does not touch your existing pages, structure or rankings. Your SEO efforts remain fully intact and remain valuable, because AI engines use the same authority signals. Xcited adds a layer for AI findability; it does not replace or disrupt your SEO.
If your agency does good work: keep it. Xcited does not replace agencies — it strengthens them. Content strategy, link building and technical SEO remain valuable; xcited adds the AI layer that makes that work visible in AI answers too, and measures what it delivers. Many agencies work with xcited themselves through the partner program.
Yes. Depending on your licence you cover one or more domains — useful for multiple brands, languages or markets — up to a multi-brand, multi-locale knowledge graph. Agencies additionally get a multi-client overview with a white-label dashboard, so they manage all their clients from a single environment.
Depending on your licence: from self-service with clear step-by-step guides per DNS provider plus a setup call, to fully guided onboarding with a dedicated account manager. If you get stuck anywhere, the team will take a look — send a screenshot to myrequest@xcited.io.
Yes. The xcited scan answers five questions: how do you score today, why do you score that way, what can be improved, how does xcited help with that, and what can you already do yourself. It is a concrete baseline measurement of your AI visibility, per engine and against competitors. A good first step before considering a subscription.
Two records with your domain provider. One CNAME record: name aztrix.yourdomain, value name.aztrix.io. (with trailing dot). And one sitemap step so xcited knows your content. The website has a step-by-step guide for the most common providers: Cloudflare, Combell, OVH, GoDaddy, Namecheap, AWS Route 53 and others. Five minutes of work, and everything runs automatically after that.
No. If you can log in with your domain provider, you can activate xcited — it is adding one CNAME record following a step-by-step guide. No code, no plugin, no changes to your website. If a third party manages your DNS, forwarding them the two lines is enough. Prefer to have it done entirely for you? That is possible too.
DNS propagation usually takes a few minutes to a few hours, depending on your provider and TTL settings. After that, xcited automatically provisions the HTTPS certificates and the machine-readable files. In practice the full layer is live the same day. If something doesn't work as expected, send a screenshot to myrequest@xcited.io and the team will take a look.
The trailing dot makes the value an absolute domain name. Providers that don't need the dot harmlessly normalize it away; providers that do require it (such as Gandi, OVH and Hetzner) will silently create name.aztrix.io.yourdomain without the dot — and that doesn't work. Always including the dot is therefore the safe route.
Yes, with one point of attention: set the proxy status of the CNAME record to 'DNS only' (grey cloud instead of orange). Proxied records don't work, because Cloudflare then intercepts the traffic xcited needs for certificates and the AI layer. The rest of your Cloudflare configuration stays exactly as it is.
No. Xcited needs no access to your CMS, hosting, database or code. Activation runs entirely via DNS: you add a record pointing to the xcited infrastructure, and all AI files are served on that separate subdomain. So you hand over no passwords or access credentials — a deliberate choice for security and simplicity.
Xcited automatically provisions: HTTPS certificates for the subdomain, an ai.json discovery file, an llms.txt manifest, robots.txt with sitemap.xml, a schema.json under .well-known, and the link to your knowledge graph. Everything AI agents need to find, understand and cite you — without you having to maintain any of it.
Yes. Xcited is built multi-domain and multi-locale. Each domain gets its own activation and measurement; depending on your licence you manage one or more domains, up to a multi-brand knowledge graph. If you run multiple country sites or brands, you see them side by side in one dashboard.
No. You only add a new CNAME record for a subdomain that didn't exist before — you change nothing in existing records such as MX (email), A records or your main domain. Your website and email keep working exactly as before. It is an addition, not a modification, and reversible at any time by deleting the record.
You simply delete the DNS records and the AI layer disappears — your website remains untouched, because nothing was ever changed on it. There is no technical lock-in: no plugin to uninstall, no code to roll back, no migration. That is the flip side of the same simplicity with which you activate.
The essence: one CNAME record for a new subdomain (aztrix.domain → name.aztrix.io), no changes to existing records, no access to hosting or CMS, HTTPS handled automatically, and fully reversible. The underlying technology is protected by EU patent EP 3189463, with GDPR compliance and EU data residency as standard. For any further questions, the xcited team is happy to think along with your IT department.
Packages and pricing will be announced on this website on 1 August 2026. You can already join now: until launch you can start as a founding member at preferred conditions — details are discussed in a 30-minute introductory call.
Yes. A one-time setup fee applies. An annual contract is not required: you choose between paying monthly or annually.
Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled monthly — no annual contract required, no cancellation penalties. Deactivating is technically just as simple as activating: delete the DNS records and you're done.
Until the official launch in September 2026 there are 25 founding spots. Founding members get full platform access at fixed preferred conditions for 24 months — without indexation. On top of that: a direct line to the founder and first access to new features. Final terms follow after a 30-minute introductory call.
You then move to the regular terms applicable at that time. During the first 24 months fixed conditions apply — no indexation, no surprises. You are not locked into anything: even as a founding member you can still cancel monthly.
The official launch is planned for September 2026. Until then, the pre-launch runs: in June and July 2026 xcited holds selection calls with candidate founding members (25 spots) and agencies (2 spots). Joining pre-launch means preferred conditions, direct influence on the roadmap and a head start in AI visibility before the rest of the market gets in. Applications are reviewed weekly, with a personal response within 48 hours.
Via the application form on the pricing page: name, company, role, business email address, domain and your biggest AI visibility challenge. Applications are reviewed weekly and you get a personal response within 48 hours — no automated email, no waiting list. After that comes a 30-minute introductory call in which the final terms are discussed.
Yes, at two levels. Design Partner: strictly limited to 2 agencies who build xcited together with us, with co-development, preferred conditions and first rights to new features. Reseller: open intake, with wholesale conditions on client licenses, a lead-referral fee per converted client, a white-label dashboard and a multi-client overview. Xcited does not replace agencies — it strengthens their proposition with an AI layer.
Because clients increasingly ask how to become visible in ChatGPT and other AI engines — and you answer that question better with infrastructure and measurement than with advice alone. Xcited makes your content and SEO proposition substantively stronger: your work becomes visible in AI answers and measurable for your client. You keep the client relationship; xcited delivers the technical layer.
You get a dashboard with your own logo and a multi-client overview: all clients in one environment, with actionable insights across all of them. You report to your client under your own brand, at your own rate. Xcited invoices you under the agreed wholesale conditions and stays in the background.
The Reseller program applies wholesale conditions on all client licenses; the specifics are agreed during the introductory call. On top of that comes a lead-referral fee per converted client you bring in. You invoice your client at your own rate; xcited invoices you under the agreed wholesale conditions. Design Partners receive broader conditions than the standard Reseller level.
A premier partnership for exactly 2 agencies who build xcited together with us. You get bimonthly roadmap sessions where your input is directly on the table, priority access to beta features, preferred conditions above the Reseller level, a founder's hotline for your team and recognition as a launch partner. Selection calls run in June and July 2026; the terms are discussed personally.
Because every launch agency deserves intensive support: co-development, hands-on onboarding and shared roadmap priorities. With more than two, the agency loses the scarcity bonus and xcited loses focus. The Reseller program does have open intake, so working together is always possible — the Design Partnership is the deeper variant.
Nothing upfront. Xcited is looking for agencies with strong client relationships, the ambition to build AI visibility (also known in the market as GEO) into a new service line, and the willingness to share feedback during the launch phase. The application is a short pitch: how many active clients you have and which three clients you would offer xcited to — with a personal response within 48 hours.
No — deliberately not. Xcited does not write content, does not do link building and does not take over strategic advice: that remains your territory. It is an infrastructure and measurement layer beneath any content or SEO strategy. Your work becomes more findable and demonstrably more effective, and you gain a new, recurring service block without putting in extra hours.
In the EU. Xcited applies EU data residency as standard: your company data and measurement data are stored and processed within the European Union. Xcited operates from Belgium and is built on European infrastructure, with GDPR compliance as the starting point — not an afterthought for the European market, but the design principle.
Yes. GDPR compliance and EU data residency are standard, whatever your licence. Moreover, the information xcited structures and publishes is company information you want to make public yourself — services, areas of expertise, locations, FAQs — not personal data of customers. For the processing terms, a data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request.
Yes, a DPA is available on request, whatever your licence. Depending on your licence, audit logs for traceability and additional arrangements such as a custom SLA with guarantees on uptime and response time are also available. Request the DPA via the website or through your contact person.
Only with the information you deliberately make public through your knowledge graph: services, areas of expertise, locations, FAQs — exactly what you want AI engines to know about you. That is the purpose of the product. Internal data, customer data or other confidential information is not part of it. You decide what goes in the knowledge graph and therefore what AI agents get to see.
The information in your knowledge graph is and remains your company information — you decide what goes in and what gets published. The visibility measurements about your brand are available to you in the dashboard, and, depending on your licence, exportable via read-only API. If you end the collaboration, you delete the DNS records and the published layer disappears.
Yes. The underlying knowledge graph technology is protected by EU patent EP 3189463 and is delivered through technology partner Aztrix. That patent underscores that this is not a generic plugin, but a proprietary infrastructure approach to making company information machine-readable. Xcited combines that foundation with its own measurement network for AI citations.
The measurement network counts how often brands are cited in AI conversations — the goal is aggregated visibility statistics per brand and per engine, not profiling of individual users. The measurements are processed according to GDPR principles with EU data residency. If you want the processing details in black and white, request the DPA.
Deactivating is as light as activating: you delete the DNS records, which removes the published AI layer under your domain. Arrangements on retention periods and deletion of account data are set out in the DPA and the contract terms. There is no technical lock-in that makes leaving difficult — a deliberate design principle.
The layer runs on a separate subdomain with automatically managed HTTPS certificates, fully separated from your website, hosting and CMS — xcited has no access to those and therefore cannot change anything there. Depending on your licence, audit logs, Single Sign-On and a custom SLA with uptime guarantees are available. Xcited is happy to answer questions from your security team directly.
